Overview
of Services
at Sha'aray Shalom
In general our
services follow a traditional Reform service in form and experience and
are very participatory. Music and singing play a large part in our
worship, by chanting by our Cantor, or singing led by our
temple choir or students from our school. Going along with this
participatory spirit, services may be led by our cantorial soloist,
members from our lay community or students from our Hebrew School.
May Shabbat and Religious Services
Erev
Shabbat
Congregation Sha'aray Shalom conducts Erev Shabbat services on Friday evenings at
7:30 p.m. After services, there is an Oneg Shabbat for our congregation. It is our tradition that each week different members of the temple take turns setting up the Oneg for the congregation. The Family services are
the first Shabbat of the month. These services are specially focused to
include children of all ages and includes birthday blessings for
all born in that particular month.

Other
Services
Throughout the year, we celebrate the various holidays
including Succoth, Simchat Torah,
T'u B'Shevat, and Passover. Along with these holidays, we will also dedicate a Erev Shabbat, Shabbat or Havdalah service to a particular focus such as a Kabbalah service or a Healing service.
